john wayne could care less that he was balding he only wore his hair piece when filming he would go out in public on days off without it all the time
you’re absolutely wrong about humphrey bogart. there are plenty of home made movies of him without his hairpiece when he wasn’t making a movie. you can find one here on youtube with him on his yacht smiling happily into the camera without his hairpiece.
interesting video. it would be fun to have one on television actors. here's a story about one popular tv western, back in the day: on bonanza, three of the four main characters (lorne greene as ben, pernell roberts as adam, and dan blocker as hoss) all wore hair pieces. michael landon (as little joe) didn't, but started to grey very early in his career, so they had to dye his greying hair brown to keep him looking youthful for the part of little joe and later (in 'little house on the prairie') in the part of charles ingalls, the young family man.
5:46 john wayne was totally open about his hair piece.
i know he wasn’t hollywood by any means but andy warhol actually made his troupe a piece of art! 😊
being bald is not a crime. nor is it a disgrace.
you need to replace cary grant with charlton heston.
i go for the people's talent to perform; whether it is their voice or ability to adapt to various characters. it's an art they mastered and gained respect.
i knew about all of them except for taylor, lancaster, and grant. they did a particularly good job with lancaster ... those were some big, fluffy hairpieces to construct.
i had very little hair in my 30s and have been bald for the last 30 years. i can usually spot a toupee from a mile away.
