seeing so many squid captured is impressive yet heartbreaking
fishermen risk the deep yet the creatures risk extinction
some marvel at the scale others feel disgust at industrial greed
technology makes it efficient but not ethical or humane
the squid are survivors of the deep yet humans dominate their world
we harvest millions but think little of oceanic balance
