Not NEARLY enough officers to deal with this situation.
These police chases videos are extremely high quality. From start to finish we get to see the 911 operator-victim interaction, police arrival on scene, the negotiation, then several body cam angles showing the shooting. They even show the perp’s firearm in the police chases video then have a magnified image of the weapon, and same thing with his keys. There are no questions left unanswered with home camera footage too. Absolutely astounding.
That call to the 911 was worse than filling out an application for a job. Damn. 🙄
Almost every single dispatcher sounds pissed off. Like, we get it, you need info from the caller, but you are 9-1-1. The people calling you are gonna be panicking! Belittling them and acting like they're stupid doesn't help things, just makes the caller more anxious and possible angry. You're not customer service, the people you're talking to are in serious, often dangerous, situations. And what pisses me off the most is I KNOW they get told this in their training, yet they still get pissed at the caller (often the victim of the crime[s] themselves).
Some of these dispatchers are the absolute worst
I can't stand how dispatchers expect people to stay calm. Half of them are going through the craziest life experience they've ever gone through. The attitude from them just drives me nuts
